Austin Kokel joined the Kinetic Media Productions team in the summer of 2025. He has worked in Myrtle Beach television since 2009, with his career roots in radio dating back to 2003. Over the years, he has produced thousands of TV commercials for hundreds of clients across Myrtle Beach, Florence, and Lumberton. In 2023, he earned a South Carolina Broadcasters Association Award of Merit for a TV promo he co-produced. Now, he’s excited to bring his experience to Kinetic in his role as video editor and videographer.

Northern by birth but southern by choice, he calls Murrells Inlet home, where he lives with his wife and daughter. A lifelong music enthusiast—especially of progressive rock and metal—he once worked as a music journalist, interviewing artists and reviewing albums from across the rock world. He also enjoys video games, movies, books, graphic novels, roller derby, and spending time with his cats, Penny and Felix.
